ASMBS Policy for Presenters/Faculty
In order to maintain CME compliance, the ASMBS requires that your presentation be reviewed for (a) commercial bias, (b) HIPAA violations (no patient identifiers can be used), and (c) that there are no offensive (vulgar or obscene) comments BEFORE you present and BEFORE the presentation is released to the attendee. Therefore, IF you are invited faculty (NOT a presenter of an abstract) the Program Committee has established the following guideline – IF your presentation is successfully uploaded by established deadline (yet to be published), you will receive a discounted registration to the Plenary Session. If you do not, you will need to register and pay for the Plenary Session. Reminder: the IH Main Session will be a track within the Plenary Session of Obesity Week. You will also be provided free registration to the pre-conference postgraduate course in which you are speaking. If you are faculty of a symposium within the Plenary Session, your Plenary registration is free.
Abstract presenters and authors in the Plenary Session at the 30th Annual Meeting at Obesity Week are required to register for the Plenary Session (and any other session they wish to attend), and are expected to pay the registration fee.
TOS Policy for Presenters/Faculty
Speakers who have been invited by The Obesity Society to participate in a TOS symposium, key lecture, or debate during Obesity Week will be required to submit financial disclosure information via the TOS speaker management website. Invited speakers will receive instructions and website access information via email by around June 2013. Questions regarding TOS invited speaker sessions may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All abstract authors will be asked to provide financial disclosure information via the TOS abstract submission site. Presenters of accepted abstracts (presenting in either oral abstract or poster presentations) will be required to register for the annual meeting and pay any registration fees.
